Uniqlo Vietnam
I'm thrilled to have been part of the artist panel for Uniqlo's Ut Me collection, celebrating Vietnamese culture through iconic illustrations. It was a great opportunity to showcase my unique design and art skills, infusing Vietnamese culture into the illustrations.
About the collection
The creation of this collection of illustrations under a Vietnam theme is an artistic endeavor that captures the essence of the country's vibrant energy. With a focus on bright colors and naive lines, this collection pays homage to Vietnam's rich culture and spirit. I wanted to capture some iconic shapes of Vietnam, with a zoom into it. These illustrations not only showcase the beauty of the country but also serve as a visual narrative, reflecting the unique character and charm that make Vietnam a captivating destination.
Each illustration in my Vietnam-themed collection serves as a visual journey, inviting viewers to explore the captivating landscapes, vibrant culture, and rich history of the country.
Through the use of patterns, bright and rich colors, such are Red and Yellow for the Main collection: Vietnam (colors come from the Vietnam national flag colors)
For HCM city collection’s colors, green and yellow colors : they reflect and have been inspired from the tropical and warm aspect of the city. From palm trees, creatives plants and exotics tastes ans smell from the city (where I have been living for 8 years now).
Hanoi ’s inspired me a more nostalgic and pastel color palet, ( pink, yellow and blue) with a sens of travel, history and tradition.
